What is an iron infusion?
An iron infusion gives iron straight into the bloodstream through a drip. It’s usually recommended when iron levels are low and tablets haven’t worked, aren’t well tolerated, or levels need to be raised more quickly.
Iron is a prescription medicine, so it’s only given after a recent blood test, and once a doctor has agreed it’s right for you.
